MayFest and Mother’s Day

We want to send a congratulations to April’s First Friday artist Chris Riley! During Chris’ First Friday performance, a booking agent for Tulsa’s MayFest was in attendance. She happened to have a last minute cancellation, and Chris is now going to be performing at MayFest! If you want to hear more of Chris he will be performing Saturday May 18th at 11 am and The Bartlett Stage! Way to go Chris!

Also we have a Mother’s Day special at SapMaxx! This week only you can purchase a $200 gift card for any SpaMaxx services and only pay $180! I think your mothers/wives would love to have a spa day don’t you?

CINCO DE MAYO DRINK SPECIALS!

Meet Our New Hairstylist Leesha!

I mentioned earlier that we had a new amazing hairstylist Leesha. I also promised to introduce her to the Campbell faithful. Well ladies and gents, here she is!

Leesha has 8 years experience as a hairstylist and is a graduate from the Tulsa Technology Center with her certificate in Cosmetology. Like most hairstylists, Leesha had a passion for all things hair long before cosmetology school. From a young age she always loved to color and style her friends’ hair (She had some lucky friends!). Leesha really lets her creativity shine through both her styling and her coloring. Her specialty and her favorite thing to do is hair coloring because it really brings out the artist in her. Lets be honest everyone loves getting a new color. A new color means a new you!

Leesha is available Friday, Saturday, and Mondays from 10 am-7pm, and Sundays 10 am-5 pm. Trust me she is amazing!

First Friday and New Contests!

First Friday and other Exciting May News!

April is coming to a close and that means that there will be new music here at The Campbell! May’s featured artist is non other than Rebecca Ungerman! I am sure I don’t need to tell you Tulsans how great she is but in case you didn’t know Rebecca was voted Tulsa’s Favorite Female Vocalist last year by Urban Tulsa Weekly readers (among her many other fan favorite titles). If I tried to list all of her amazing accomplishments I would run out of room! Rebecca Ungerman will be preforming live for FREE here at The Campbell Friday May 3rd from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. I would get here early! If you have not listened to her music yet than check out her website rebeccaungerman.com. You will thank me for it later!

Great news coming out of SpaMaxx! The spa team has welcomed an amazing new hair stylist, Leesha! There will soon be a blog dedicated to introducing her to our Campbell faithful so be on the look out for that!

Also out of SpaMaxx, Brett, our amazing Massage Therapist, is running a discount of 10% off of a 60 minute Swedish Massage only Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from now until May 15th! Just say “Time Out for a Massage!” I cannot think of a better way to get through the work week than a midweek massage! I would book an appointment with Brett ASAP if I were you!

I am sure almost everyone has heard that Sir Paul McCartney (my favorite Beatle) will be preforming at the BOK on May 29th and May 30th. Well, The Campbell just so happens to have 2 tickets to see Macca for his sold out show on May 29th! Did I mention that they were FLOOR TICKETS! If that wasn’t cool enough just wait until you hear what else is in the prize package! The winner will also receive a FREE nights stay in our luxurious Sky Suite and a $200 gift certificate to SpaMaxx for services of your choosing! Tulsans know what a pain driving and parking downtown can be especially for a sold out event at the BOK! The Campbell is going to take care of that for you too! The Campbell will drive the lucky winner and their guest to and from the show! The prize package is valued at $1000!

Brush with fame

Next time you stay in our Leon Russell Room, you’ll be sleeping under the signature of the Master and Space and Time himself.

Our favorite rock star couldn’t make it to The Campbell Hotel to see his namesake room, but he agreed to autograph the famous piano-shaped headboard if we’d bring it to him when he came to town for his birthday concert at the Brady Theater. Event manager Diane — who has friends in Leon’s band — coordinated the delivery and spent some time hanging out backstage with the man himself. She brought back a few photos from this momentous occasion:

For the record, the show was amazing. Even better than last year — and last year was pretty great. He doesn’t talk much; he just plays and plays and plays, so the odds of hearing your favorite song are pretty good. His daughter, Tina Rose, came out and sang a couple of songs a cappella while the band took a break. She has an awesome voice.

If you haven’t seen our Leon Russell Room yet, you’ve got to come by and take a look. Better yet, book a night or two here and spend a weekend soaking up a little Tulsa music history. Just about everybody who is anybody has worked with Leon Russell in some way. Between writing, producing and performing as a session musician, he has been involved in literally thousands of records over the years. Researchers are still trying to track down all of his work.

ReStyled Threads is coming to The Campbell!

Could your wardrobe stand to be updated? If so, you might want to mark your calendar for an upcoming event here at The Campbell Hotel.

ReStyled Threads, a local upscale consignment business, will hold a sale April 11 to April 14 at The Campbell Hotel.

“ReStyled Threads offers a new approach to consigning your gently used clothes,” co-founder Katie Fox said in a news release. “It made sense to host the event at a historic hotel that has been restyled itself.”

Built in 1927 as the Casa Loma Hotel, The Campbell Hotel was home to the 2011 Designer Showcase. The recently renovated boutique luxury hotel features an on-site spa, lounge, and 26 uniquely decorated theme rooms that celebrate the history and culture of Oklahoma.

If you have clothes to sell but haven’t gotten around to consigning them because you just don’t have time, ReStyled Threads can help you out with free drop-off and delivery and a tagging service to make it easier to participate.

“We recognize that most consignors and shoppers have busy lives,” Fox said in the news release. “ReStyled Threads’ consignment process has been streamlined to three easy steps so that anyone can participate.”

Here’s the schedule for shoppers in search of a new look for spring:

Thursday, April 11th:  Private preview party for volunteers and consignors from 4 to 7 p.m.
Friday, April 12th: Designer Dash pre-sale event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; admission is $10.
Friday, April 12th: Swag bags and free admission from 1 to 5 p.m.
Saturday, April 13th: Free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, April 14th: Early bird half-price sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; admission is $10.
Sunday, April 14th: Half-price sale and free admission from 1 to 5 p.m.
