April is coming to a close and that means that there will be new music here at The Campbell! May's featured artist is non other than Rebecca Ungerman! I am sure I don't need to tell you Tulsans how great she is but in case you didn't know Rebecca was voted Tulsa's Favorite Female Vocalist last year by Urban Tulsa Weekly readers (among her many other fan favorite titles). If I tried to list all of her amazing accomplishments I would run out of room! Rebecca Ungerman will be preforming live for FREE here at The Campbell Friday May 3rd from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. I would get here early! If you have not listened to her music yet than check out her website rebeccaungerman.com. You will thank me for it later!
Great news coming out of SpaMaxx! The spa team has welcomed an amazing new hair stylist, Leesha! There will soon be a blog dedicated to introducing her to our Campbell faithful so be on the look out for that!
Also out of SpaMaxx, Brett, our amazing Massage Therapist, is running a discount of 10% off of a 60 minute Swedish Massage only Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from now until May 15th! Just say "Time Out for a Massage!" I cannot think of a better way to get through the work week than a midweek massage! I would book an appointment with Brett ASAP if I were you!
You can call and make an appointment with Brett, Leesha, or any other member of the amazing SpaMaxx team at 918-744-5500!
Even more exciting news!
I am sure almost everyone has heard that Sir Paul McCartney (my favorite Beatle) will be preforming at the BOK on May 29th and May 30th. Well, The Campbell just so happens to have 2 tickets to see Macca for his sold out show on May 29th! Did I mention that they were FLOOR TICKETS! If that wasn't cool enough just wait until you hear what else is in the prize package! The winner will also receive a FREE nights stay in our luxurious Sky Suite and a $200 gift certificate to SpaMaxx for services of your choosing! Tulsans know what a pain driving and parking downtown can be especially for a sold out event at the BOK! The Campbell is going to take care of that for you too! The Campbell will drive the lucky winner and their guest to and from the show! The prize package is valued at $1000!
To enter our Paul McCartney contest, just stop by The Campbell's front desk, The Campbell Lounge, or SpaMaxx and fill out an entry form! There is a limit of 1 per day but you can enter everyday from now until May 24th at midnight when the contest ends! So enter early and often (since I can't).
Lastly, the amazing Emily, our PR master, is no longer at The Campbell. She went decided to return to her first love, reporting. She is keeping them honest in Missouri, and we miss her dearly already! Don't be a stranger!
As anyone who’s been here knows, a trip to The Campbell Hotel is a trip into the heart of Tulsa’s history. From our luxurious theme rooms to our location right on Route 66 in midtown — just across the street from Bama Pie, down the block from the University of Tulsa, and minutes from downtown, Brookside, and River Parks — we like to think we epitomize all that is right in our beloved city.
Watching the sun rise over the Tulsa skyline on the way to work, meeting travelers from around the world, turning brides’ fairy-tale dreams into elegant reality, basking in the soft blue glow of an old-fashioned neon sign as we tidy up the doorstep — it’s all just another day at the office for those of us fortunate enough to work here at the Campbell. We spend our days surrounded by beauty, elegance, and history. We’re lucky, and we know it.
This blog is our attempt to share some of that beauty, elegance, and history with anyone who could use a mini-vacation.
We’d love to see you in person. But if you can’t get to Tulsa just now, we understand. While you’re anticipating that weekend getaway or that much-needed Route 66 road trip, why not join us online for a five-minute escape into our past and your imagination every day?
Maybe we’ll show you an Oklahoma sunset from the window of the Gilcrease Skyline Room. Maybe we’ll introduce you to a longtime Tulsan who remembers riding his bike to the Max Campbell Building to buy nickel Cokes at the drugstore on the first floor when he was a little boy. Or maybe we’ll dig up some little-known fact about Tulsa’s history.
Check in with us online for a few minutes every day — and when you take that Oklahoma trip, check in with us on Route 66 here in Tulsa for an evening, a weekend, or more. We’re looking forward to meeting you.
